A Manifesting Generator has a defined Sacral Center and one of the motors connected to the Throat Center. It carries elements of both types, but its strategy and aura are identical to those of a regular Generator. For that reason it is not a separate type, even though many analysts suggest reading it on its own, since the life process here does differ somewhat from a Generator's. A Manifesting Generator feels like a Manifestor. It knows it can act independently and that it has enough energy to reach its goals. Patience is its real challenge. Once it learns to wait for the response, the stop-and-start quality of the Generator — who has to move through life getting stuck again and again — disappears from its life entirely.

A Generator has a defined Sacral Center. Unlike the Manifestor, the Generator is not built to initiate. The Generator's strategy is to respond to the various situations and opportunities life brings. The Generator has a renewable source of life force at its disposal and can direct it into creative work. The Generator's not-self theme is dissatisfaction and frustration. These emotional states arise because most Generators do not do what they want, but what merely seems right and necessary. A Generator also regularly experiences a sense of deadlock and of being stuck, and this is the part of its nature that has to be accepted as given. A Generator will never know what is correct for it until it waits for the right question, feels its own response to it, and literally feels in the body that "the energy is there" for something. The foundation of the Generator's vitality, the Sacral Center, can react with so-called sacral responses — "uh-huh" or "un-un". A Generator has to learn to wait for the response, despite the "roll up your sleeves and get on with it" stereotype.

A Manifestor has no defined Sacral Center, and one of the motors is connected to the Throat Center. The Manifestor is the only one built to act immediately. The irony is that the ability to act is taken for granted in our society, even though only 8.0% of the population is genetically able to do it, because real energy from one of the energy centers literally stands behind their words and actions. From earliest childhood the Manifestor is punished for living in accordance with its true, self-sufficient, independent nature — and that is how it meets anger. Constant resistance from those around follows the Manifestor throughout life and provokes an enormous amount of negative emotion, rage and irritation. The strategy that lets a Manifestor reduce its inner aggression and improve its relationships is to inform the people involved in a situation about what it is going to do, before acting.

A Projector has no defined Sacral Center and none of the motors is connected to the Throat Center. The Projector is a natural coordinator, and its gift lies in the ability to read and guide the energy of others. Most Projectors end up directing others one way or another, because they "know how it should be done", which often makes them difficult company. A Projector needs to be seen, but if it initiates events, introductions and meetings the way a Manifestor does, it may end up spending its energy and attention on people who do not understand it. A Projector will feel bitter if surrounded by people who do not recognise its true nature. Bitterness is its not-self theme. A Projector needs to wait for the invitation, to wait for the "investor" who will notice and acknowledge its qualities, talents and skills, whatever they may be. Then its possibilities become truly vast. There are always several such people in a Projector's life, but they do not turn up every day.

A Reflector's Design has no defined centers. A Reflector not only reflects the qualities of the Designs of the people around it, but also amplifies them. In a sense its larger task is to sit at the centre of a community and be a kind of canary in the coal mine. A Reflector is changeable by nature. Because of that changeability, and because those around it misunderstand it, the main not-self theme in a Reflector's life is disappointment and despondency. Every Reflector has its own relationship with the lunar cycle: for two days it may be a Manifestor, then a Projector for two days, and so on. The most important thing for a Reflector is to learn its own cycle, so as to benefit from it and lean on the definitions that appear in its Design. It also needs to learn not to be afraid of waiting 29 days before making a decision, instead of handing responsibility to those close to it, and to clear its inner space in solitude more often. Curiously, in sleep more than 90% of people turn into Reflectors.
